When it comes to “Healthy Living” I was determined to diet and exercise, so I could lose the weight that I wanted and hit the goals I set for myself. I have had some things happen these past couple of weeks that have made me realize that a “Healthy Living” isn’t only about a physical appearance but a mental one. I have been working on losing weight and for the past 3 weeks I have changed a lot about what I consume, and my portions are extremely different. I have also been making sure to take time to myself early in the mornings before the kids wake up and at night when they go to bed. I journal a lot more and read my devotionals. I know we have a section on “Journey of Change” and these go hand in hand because this is how I help myself have a “Healthy Living” mentally. Being in a good mental state is important for myself and my family, because if I am lacking in that area I can’t be 100% for them and they deserve me to be. These past events have been a major test for me and I have more things coming my way. Believing in God and having Faith doesn’t mean life will be easy, it just means we won’t be alone while going through these tough times.
Focus your goals of making yourself healthy physically and mentally, because we need both. Set times aside to gather your thoughts and be with God. Visit our “Daily Devotional” section and purchase the 100 Days of Pressing Pause book. It is so helpful because I promise you're not alone.
