The week I have been dreading. The last week of summer. The last week of staying home with my baby (for now). I definitely enjoyed every minute with her, and even held her while she napped. We had such a busy week that flew by too fast! I think Monday was the only day we stayed home. Tuesday we started the morning with Gabriella’s nine month check-up, took the remaining paper work to the daycare, and then went to sign my contract and get my badge!! Wednesday we had a fun pool day with our friends Kimberly and RJ, then had our final meeting with our wedding coordinator that evening (only 7 days left!). Thursday Gabriella spent her first morning at daycare, and she did great! Neither one of us cried 😊 We met up with Christina and the kids that afternoon to run some errands. I had to get some new school clothes and makeup (finally, it had been too long!). I also found a few items for my classroom! Friday Gabriella spent a few more hours at daycare getting acquainted with her new surroundings before starting full time on Monday. While she was there, I ran to Walmart and Baybrook mall to get a few things. I’m going to miss being able to run errands during the week! I hate battling weekend crowds.
I am so grateful for the time I was able to stay home with Gabriella, and I do not take it for granted one bit. I know I am more fortunate than some who have to return to work a lot sooner. On the other hand, I am so excited for my first day of work Monday! I feel like I’m back in high school; got my new clothes and fresh makeup 😊 However, neither me nor Gabriella is looking forward to getting up at 6:15am every morning LOL We are NOT morning people.
